Our Facility
Our private barns, covered paddocks and indoor riding arena are nestled amidst a scenic 20 acre cherry orchard where we offer hunter/jumper lessons, horse training and boarding.
Our exclusive facility hosts one dedicated trainer and a maximum of sixteen resident horses to ensure uninterrupted accessibility for our students and boarders.
The property has two bright and well ventilated 3,500 square foot barns.
Each barn is finished with 8 horse stalls, a secure tack room to safely store equipment, feed room, commercial heaters and fans.
Sweet Cherry Stables has 16 outdoor paddocks for the horses to enjoy the fresh air while stretching their legs during the day. Each paddock has a corral shelter to protect the horses from extreme weather conditions.
Horse lessons and training are offered in our 90’ x 200’ indoor riding arena, which boasts soft sand footing, new professional jumps and both natural and LED lighting for the perfect riding experience.
History of the Farm
Our farm, located at 2570 Old Vernon Road, has a vast history within the community of Ellison.
Throughout the last century, many crops have been grown on the farm, including tobacco, dairy, hay and grain.
Historical neighbours included George Whalen and Price Ellison.
